Heart-shaped sunny-side-up egg preparation:

1. Cut the ham in half evenly, making sure not to separate the other end.

2. My experience is that you should fry the ham sausage on low heat, which will prevent it from burning while allowing it to heat through and gradually soften, making it easier to shape into a heart later.

3. Shape it into a heart and use a toothpick to secure its form; then you can gently crack an egg inside.
