Trick for peeling chestnut shells using a frying pan.

Editor: Chinese Food Network Mobile site

ChestnutsDelicious, I won't elaborate on its benefits.Today, I'll just talk about the method for peeling chestnuts.

Some people say to boil them in water and then rinse with cold water, but I find this method doesn't work well, and you can only peel a few chestnuts.Once they're cold, they're impossible to peel. Using a knife to peel them or picking them apart with your hands results in ugly, misshapen chestnuts!

I have usedOvenAir fryer, it's convenient and allows you to peel chestnuts completely and beautifully. However, not everyone has an oven.If you're only buying an oven or air fryer for the sole purpose of peeling chestnuts, it's really not necessary.

I have also seen people usingMicrowaveto peel chestnuts, but not everyone has a microwave.

So what do you do?

So I researched it.

These methods work because they involve heating. When the steam inside the chestnuts isevaporated, the volume shrinks, which may not be immediately obvious, but it is a fact. And because of the principle of thermal expansion and contraction, chestnuts will also shrink a bit after cooling, and then you can easily peel them.

Sometimes, when we think about problems, we tend to make them more complicated, but we often overlook that the simplest method is actually the best! The peeled chestnuts are not yet fully cooked,so you can use them to makesoup, braised dishes,or other dishes, as you like.
