How to Make Peanut Stick Retro Snack

Ingredients for sticky rice paste:

  peanuts, sugar, starch, water

Method to make sticky rice paste:

1. peanuts on low heat until they are cooked, then turn off the flame;

2. add cold water andsugarto the pot simultaneously and simmer on low heat;

3. when large bubbles appear in the pot and a spatula can hold the syrup, add the cooked peanuts and stir-fry them;

4. starch into the pot while continuously stirring;

5. remove from heat once the syrup has hardened and the peanuts are covered with white frost; allow to cool and crisp before serving.

Warm tips for making sticky rice paste:

When frying peanuts, use low heat or they will be burnt on the outside but not cooked inside.Listen for the popping sound of the peanuts in the pot.
