1. Wash the surface of the fresh broad beans to remove floating dirt;
2. Boil water in a pot, add star anise, fennel seeds, dry chili peppers, cinnamon stick, and salt into the pot; after adding the broad beans, switch to low heat and slowly cook for about 8 minutes, then turn off the heat, remove the cooked broad beans and other seasonings from the pot, drain, cool down, and finally place the broad beans in a dish.


Boil water in a pot, add the (toona sinensis seeds), (star anise), (dried red chili peppers), (cinnamon bark), and salt to the pot.
Add the green peas and switch to low heat to simmer for approximately 8 minutes before turning off the fire. Remove the cooked green peas along with the other spices from the pot, drain, and cool them down. Finally, serve the green peas in a dish.
