Oysters with tomato and shrimp paste

1. Oysters,Tomatoes

2. Shrimp paste,Black pepper, spring onions, garlic, red bell peppers

3. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into pieces.

4. Pour oil into the pot and stir-fry the chopped spring onions, garlic, and bell peppers.

5. Put the cleaned oysters into the pot and stir-fry.

6. Add the cut tomato pieces and continue to stir-fry.

7. After the tomato is soft, add a bowl of water and one spoonful of shrimp paste to the pot.

8. Cover the pot and cook until the soup thickens, then add a little salt and black pepper before serving.

TIPS:

The cleaning method was not photographed this time, the image below is from a previous shoot,

the used sauce shrimp paste can be found in large supermarkets, if unavailable, other sauces may be substituted.



Cleaning oysters

Oysters grow on rocks in the sea and feed on mud and seawater, so they need to be cleaned before consumption. The quickest and cleanest method is to useflourto clean them. Place the oysters in a bowl with two spoons of flour, add water, stir gently with a spoon, then discard the water and wash again with some water until the water clears.

Cleaned oysters after washing with flour are clean and white.

Also, note that when removing the oyster meat from its shell, be careful as it may stick to small pieces of shell. After removing the meat, soak it in a salted container for a few minutes, then rinse under clear water to remove any remaining shells or impurities.
