How to Make Sponge Cake

Ingredients:Yolk4 pieces, sugar 30 grams, milk 48 grams, low flour 60 grams

1 Mix the egg yolk with sugar and stir evenly.
2 Whip the egg yolk using an electric mixer until fully whipped to a thick, white state; it must be very thick.



3 Add 30 grams of milk to the whipped egg yolk and mix well.Milk15 grams, stir evenly
4 Sift in low flour and add it in portions, folding gently until mixed.



5 Add the remaining milk, and stir well.
6 Pour into a mold,OvenPreheat to 160 degrees for about 15 minutes.



Kitchen note
If the room temperature is low, heat the egg and sugar together in a water bath until around 40 degrees before whipping further; in summer, this step can be skipped as the room temperature alone may suffice. Otherwise, the egg mixture will be too cold to whip properly.
