To the newsandpot, opening and using it

First, let's understand its characteristics:

Due to its composition of non-conductive materials such as quartz, feldspar, and clay, this pottery is fired at high temperatures. It has properties like ventilation, absorption, even heat distribution, and slow cooling. The sandpot can evenly transfer external heat energy to the internal ingredients over a long period, maintaining balanced environmental temperature, which helps water molecules penetrate the food. The longer this mutual penetration lasts, the more fragrant components will be released, resulting in richer broth flavor and softer cooked food.

Of course, the first step is cleaning it with soft cloth under running water. Nobody likes a dirty pot.

Cleaned up, let's start by cookingrice porridge,to "feed" it well.

Why cook rice porridge? Because being made of earthenware, earth has "eyes" and gaps. Cooking can mend these invisible "small eyes," extending its lifespan.

Use low heat and stir occasionally with a wooden spoon to prevent sticking.

Pour porridge water on the top part to ensure all inner surfaces are moistened, allowing it to "drink the porridge water."

When the porridge has become sticky, turn off the heat. Do not let it cool suddenly; use a pot pad to insulate against cold.

Thestewing soupis a lengthy process. During this time, we can do many other things but be sure to avoid running out of liquid or having it crack due to dryness by setting an alarm or timer.

Leave the porridge overnight; in the morning, you'll see how good it is—though we won't eat it as a "cleaning porridge." After this, we can start on our delicious soup!

Nevertheless, during future use, be mindful of:

---Some sandpots with poor material may not withstand acidic foods; the lead contained could leach out and harm health.

---Avoid sudden cooling when cooking; add hot water if needed to prevent thermal shock and reduce its lifespan.

---Do not dry cook or burn; this is fatal for the sandpot.

---Handle with care, avoiding hard impacts as it is an earthenware product that can suffer damage from such collisions.
