How to Steam Chinese Fish?

Season with raw ginger,soy sauce,and a little sesame oil.Steam the fish to maintain its elegant appearance and ensure it is tender and flavorful when eaten.Ingredients:Solar fish, sea bass,or flounder cleaned of innards, about 1 kilogram, a little salt, ginger about 5 centimeters long, 4 large onions, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 1 red chili pepper,
sesame or vegetable oil for frying, garnish:
cilantro (coriander) several sprigs.1. Wash the fish and pat dry with paper towels.Make diagonal cuts on both sides, about 3-4 per side, going through to the bone.Lightly season inside and outside of the fish with salt and let it sit for 10 minutes.Peel the ginger and cut into strips.Trim the old leaves from the onions and cut them into 7.5 centimeter long strips, set aside.Mix the soy sauce and sesame oil in a small bowl.In a steamer or Chinese pot, add about 2-3 inches of water and bring to a boil.If using a Chinese pot, place a steaming rack at the bottom.
Rinse the salted fish with running water, then pat dry with paper towels and place it on a heat-resistant dish.Place the dish in the steamer or Chinese pot, ensuring the dish does not touch the water.Cover with a lid and steam for 15-20 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
While the fish is steaming, remove the seeds from the chili pepper and cut it into strips.Heat the oil in a small frying pan on high heat and fry the chili peppers and ginger until soft.When the fish is done, place it on a serving dish and sprinkle with the chopped onions, ginger, and chili pepper.
Pour the prepared soy sauce and sesame oil over the top, garnish with cilantro, and serve.If using a wok, place a steamer rack on the bottom of the wok.
4. Rinse the salted fish with tap water, then dry it with paper towels and place it on a heat-resistant plate.Place the fish in the steamer or wok; ensure that the dish does not touch the water.Cover the pot, reduce the heat to low, and steam for 15-20 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
5.When steaming the fish,remove the seeds from the chili pepper and slice it thinly.Heat oil in a small frying pan on high, stir-fry the chili peppers and ginger until they are soft.
6. Once the fish is fully steamed, place it on a serving dish and sprinkle with spring onions, ginger, and chili slices.Pour the seasoned soy sauce and sesame oil over it, garnish with coriander, and serve.
