How to Make Braised Spare Ribs Congee

Ingredients:Jing rice60 grams,Pork ribs200 grams,Yam150 grams rawGingerOne piece, 2 small spring onions



Method:
1 Remove the outer skin from the yam, cut into pieces and wash. Deep-fry in oil over low heat until the skin turns golden yellow, then remove and drain the oil before setting aside.



2 Wash the pork ribs, cut them into pieces, and place them in a cold water pot. Boil over high heat until there are many foam on the surface; once the foam subsides, remove the pork ribs and rinse with warm water to prepare.Peel the ginger and slice it; wash the spring onions and chop them finely for later use.



3 Bring a new pot of water to a boil and add the washed rice. Cook over low heat for 20 minutes, then add the boiled pork ribs and ginger slices and continue cooking for another 30 minutes.


4 Add the fried yam pieces and cook together for an additional 10 minutes. Season with appropriate salt and a littlemonosodium glutamate (MSG), then drizzle with a bit of



braised sesame oil
to finish.Tips:1 It's crucial to blanch the pork ribs to remove any fishy smell. Directly cooking them with the rice can affect the taste and texture when eating.
