Ingredients: half a pound of fresh chicken, one lotus leaf, four large mushrooms, a small amount of red dates and goji berries, salt,
soy sauce, sugar, oil, starch, and some green onions
Steps:
1 Soak the lotus leaf for an hour beforehand, it's best to use rice water, then carefully wash it gently without breaking it.
Mushrooms should be soaked in water until soft, red dates and goji berries should be washed and set aside.
Cut mushrooms into pieces, split open the red dates, add them with cleaned chicken pieces. Add all seasonings and marinate for ten minutes.

SteamLay the lotus leaf on the steamer basket; if it has any tears, use more to cover those areas to prevent juice leakage.
5 Pour the marinated chicken onto the lotus leaf, steam for fifteen minutes, then sprinkle with green onions.
