Cooking method
Place the donkey-hide gelatin into a plastic bag, then use a mallet or meat hammer to break it into pieces.(I used a meat hammer)
Then transfer it to a blender and blend until powdered.
Pour in 250 milliliters of cooking wine.
Add rock sugar and stir well. (You can use rock sugar powder or chunks, as you will be steaming them.)Steamthe mixture for about 50 minutes until the gelatin is fully melted.
Toast the sesame seeds if desired; skip this step if not needed.Dry the seeds under the sun before using them if you do not toast them.
Roast the walnuts, or use them raw.
Place the donkey-hide gelatin and wine mixture in a steamer pot with plenty of water to ensure it boils well.
After all the gelatin has melted, add the walnuts without cutting them.
Pour in black sesame seeds next.Add the goji berries.,
Finally, add sliced red dates.
Steam for about 50 minutes or until fully cooked.
Cover the steamer with a cloth to prevent water droplets from falling in.
Prepare a container and place a heat-resistant cling film on top.
Pour the cooled donkey-hide gelatin mixture into the container and press down firmly.
Allow it to set in the refrigerator for several hours until firm enough to be removed.
Cut the prepared gelatin into slices and enjoy.
Then serve sliced.
